De Beers First Half Rough Diamond Sales Increase

Diamond mining De Beers group's rough diamond sales have gone up by 30% in the first half of the year. The sales valued about $3.89 billion. The sale of rough diamonds through the Diamond Trading Company (DTC) rose by 33%.
De Beers Group has launched their joint venture with LVMH named Diamond Jewellers (DBDJ) in China. The venture is dedicated to going up in the Far East. De Beers Group is positive about excellent growth in retail markets in India and Asia.
Philippe Mellier was appointed CEO of the De Beers Group at a Board Meeting in Luxembourg. Stuart Brown (Chief Financial Officer) announced that after almost 20 years with De Beers Group, he would quit from the Board soon.
